This is an article we have written for the newer guys preparing for their first fights and unsure of their extra conditioning work to be ready for the fights on November 28th vs Absolute MMA.
WHAT CLASSES SHOULD YOU DO?
You should be attending the Tuesday, Wednesday night Advanced Advanced MMA class without excuse, as well as the Saturday Morning sparring session at 12.00pm.
Adding in as many extra No-gi, Wrestling and Muay Thai classes are also recommended.
6 weeks out from the fight
Once a week Randy's Grappling circuit. 5-6 sets, strict 60 seconds rest between each set.
(If your unsure talk to Hayden, Joel, Sam, Aidan, Jordan, Anth, Dom)
Again, once a week. A football square is perfect for this exercise-
Sprint, jog, Sprint, 5 burpees, walk, repeat.
Work for the length of your fight, so Amateur guys, 3 x 3 min rounds with 1 min rest between rounds, Pro guys 3 x 5 min rounds with 1 min rest between rounds.
1 week out from the fight stop doing randy's workout and sprints - rest up!
