OUR STORY
HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
Adrenaline was started in October of 2012 by Founder and head coach Cris Brown. Followed by a small group of fighters, Cris rented out a second floor office building to create his new gym. The day Cris got the keys he and his students tore down the walls, lay down some mats and immediately began training. Over time the space was changed and upgraded - within a week a cage was installed, shortly after that a boxing ring. Next the downstairs car park was converted into a free weights area. Years later the ring was removed to free up some additional mat space as the student base grew.
THE BIG MOVE
What started out as a small group of fighters quickly sprouted into a growing community. Our student base grew as we made a name for ourselves in the Cheltenham area - at the same time, the fight team began establishing their own reputation on the Melbourne MMA scene. As years passed the gym inevitably outgrew our initial headquarters. In 2017 the decision was made to upgrade to a bigger and better facility - so again Cris and the team got to work. Renovating an old storage warehouse into the Adrenaline we call home today.
THE FIGHT TEAM
While you'll never be expected to fight, Adrenaline has always had a strong focus on building an elite stable of fighters.
Over our 10 years of operation we have won multiple Australian titles in both the professional and amateur ranks, and with a large crew of up and coming fighters developing their skill sets under our coaching staff's guidance, we anticipate many more championship belts in our future.
Unlike many other gyms our fighters train alongside our members, and in turn its not uncommon to have large groups of our students turn up to MMA events to support our fighters on game day. You don't have to be a fighter to be part of the team - this is what Adrenaline is all about. Supporting each other through growth, challenges and ultimately coming out the other side of adversity a better person.

OUR COMMUNITY
If you've ever been part of a martial arts gym before you'll know it brings about the opportunity to meet people of all walks of life, who you otherwise would probably never have had the chance to interact with or meet. Adrenaline is no different - our members come from a massive variety of backgrounds, often their own unique goals. Some want a new hobby, others want to get back in shape and some even aspire to be champions. Regardless of your goal, we are confident you'll find Adrenaline to be a positive, productive and rewarding part of your routine.
We also host a variety of community events including self defense seminars, UFC screenings, barbecues and road trips to support the fight team. All opportunities to meet new people and make new friends. Many of our members form real and meaningful relationships with their peers which they'll carry with them for years to come.
Adrenaline isn't your normal gym - we like to think of it as more of a community center that also happens to train elite mixed martial artists.
